Protecting Our Community

• We need to protect our natural resources like our water and our forests and ensure we have a balanced approach to our recreational areas.

• The regional Climate Action Plan is a great way for the city to take action and work with our government and non-profit partners to create effective sustainability efforts for the community.

• We need to be proactive about how we protect our precious commodities: the air we breathe, the Yampa River, the mountains where we love to play.

• We are fortunate to have incredible local organizations such as Yampa Valley Sustainability Council, Friends of the Yampa, etc leading this work and I want to best understand how the city can support their efforts.
